Met Alexei Lubimov verwelkomt MIRY Concertzaal een artiest van groot internationaal kaliber. Lubimov trotseerde de restricties van zijn geboorteland Rusland tijdens het Sovjettijdperk en ontpopte zich tot een muzikant met een breed repertoire, steeds trouw blijvend aan zichzelf. Hij ontwikkelde een passie voor moderne en hedendaagse muziek en liet Rusland eveneens kennis maken met de historische uitvoeringspraktijk. Hij trad op met belangrijke orkesten zoals het Budapest Festival Orchestra en het Orchestra of the Age of Enlightment in ‘s werelds belangrijkste concerthuizen. Zijn ijzersterke wil en open blik uit zich ook in de instrument- keuze: in MIRY Concertzaal speelt hij zowel op een moderne Steinway als op een historische Stein-piano.
With Alexei Lubimov, MIRY Concert Hall welcomes an artist of great international acclaim.
